Blogging 101

What are They?

There are probably as many definitions for blogs today as there are bloggers. Back when I started in 2001, blog was simply short for web log, which no one was particularly worried about defining.

From MetaGlossary: An online diary; a personal chronological log of thoughts published on a Web page; also called Weblog, Web log.
From Dictionary.com: an online diary; a personal chronological log of thoughts published on a Web page; also called Weblog, Web log
From Wikipedia: A blog is a website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order.

A blog is a frequently updated webpage

generally pertaining to a particular topic, or chronicling a story, be it a business' development or a person's life or career.
